Tour operator allays fears of Americans traveling to Jordan, Egypt and Israel

Despite ongoing political tension in the Middle East, guided tours to major historical and biblical sites in Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Greece and Turkey continue to be popular among Americans, according to U.S.-based tour operator America Israel Travel (AIT).

“Due to the Arab Spring, people may think it’s not safe to travel to the region and specifically to Egypt, yet many tourists find it interesting to travel during this time,” says AIT owner Noam Matas. He adds that tours to Israel have increased especially among church groups. Nevertheless, Matas says AIT takes all necessary measures to guarantee each traveler’s safety and security.

To prove his point, Matas says AIT’s most popular tour, “Into the Promised Land,” attracts more than 1,000 travelers every year. This 15-day journey combines tours to Jordan, Egypt and Israel and enables travelers to visit important biblical sites that otherwise will take three different tours to visit. “Our travelers gain the ultimate tour experience at the most affordable cost,” Matas says.
